Homespun Bom --- Block Two

Heute bin ich endlich dazu gekommen,
meinen zweiten Block vom Homepsun Bom zu photographieren.
Dieses Mal habe ich nur mit der Hand appliziert,
das dauerte länger, aber es ging auch ganz gut...

Today I finally got to it: I took a picture of block two of the homespun bom. This time, I applicated everything by hand only - that took more time but it worked pretty well, too...

Jetzt sind die "Wonky Houses" fertig gebaut

Lang und schmal musste er werden damit er zwischen die beiden Fenster passt
It had to be long and narrow, so that it could fit into the wall space between two windows

Homespun Bom --- Block One

Jetzt ist er endlich fertig:
Der Block Eins vom Homespun Bom.


Ich habe mir da ganz schön etwas angetan:
Mein Quilt ist um 25 Prozent verkleinert,
da ich keine so große Decke benötige.
Jetzt berechne ich erst die 75 Prozent von den Inchmaßen
und dann rechne ich die Inch in Zentimeter um ...
... also die Inchmaße mal 1,92 sind die Zentimetermaße.


Wie in aller Welt soll ich zum Beispiel 3,66 cm zuschneiden?
Irgendwie wird es schließlich mal passen müssen.

Kommt Zeit, kommt Rat.

Ach so:
Die Applikationen mache ich, wie immer,
natürlich mit meiner Nähmaschine!

Now it's finally done:
the first part of the Homespun Bom.
My quilt is minimized by 25 percent, because I don't need a blanket that big. Now I first calculate the 75 percent of the American measurementsand then convert them into German centimeter measurements - which means I have to take the inch measurements times 1,92 to get the centimeter measurements - so how do I make a cut after 3,66 cm? I have to work it out somehow, so that the whole thing is going to fit together in the end.
Oh, and I add the application like always: with my sewing machine.
